ooo! and a big black choir doing backup!! and the polyphonic spree.....al;l of them and they'd wear robes or suits and have a drum kit that was on a platform that could be raised up and sent over the crowd like motley crue and they could do backstreet boys esq dance routines like OK GO (of course most of them would need a youth elixir gfiven to them and a few would need to be raised from the dead!) and and and......shiny gutars!!...........................................

from a drummers perspective, i imagine being raised up on a platform over a crowd (who i'm assuming would be going wild since there were all these amazingly famous people together on stage) would be quite distracting.

errr you mean like tommy lee does with motley crue?? thats all well and good but who would actually be in your dream band, the ultimate band!! but if we're talking gear here then the ultimate kit has to be the ss bozio 11, played by terry bozio ex sabbath drummer, man his kit rocks!! its just massive, could do with some good cymbals though and less chinas, but thats how he plays!!

actually, the mother of satan wouldn't be particularly holy really. but anyway, he must be like, UBER-lanky to play that thing.
unless its actually less than a foot tall and is just an optical illusion.

I like Dream Theatre, yeah.
Vocals/Lyrics: Conor Oberst [Bright Eyes/Desaparecidos] Lead Guitar: Jimmy Paige [Led Zeppelin] Rhythm Guitar: Ray Toro [My Chemical Romance] Bass: Liam Wilson [Dillinger Escape Plan] Percussion: Travis Barker [Blink 182] Keys: Amander Palmer [Dresden Dolls]

oh please travis barker? nooooo waaayy!!! Jimmy Paige would NEVER play with travis barker or someone from my chemical romance.... and on the female bassist thing you could've had D'arcy or paz lechantin or even Mellissa Auf Der Maur but nooo! thats one hell of a crazy band, did you ever think that they might actually have to play together (there is some sense in this) to be a trully great band they need to have a driving force to bring them together, ie: drums and bass which is why I put John Entwistle and Ginger baker together and not a dresden doll and a member of blink.....

Erm. Who said anything about female bassists...?
Travis Barker is a good drummer. Accept it. He's maybe not the best but I'm not a drummer & I respect him for how I see his drumming.
Yeah, Jimi Hendrix was an utterly amazing guitarist, as was Jimmy Paige. I just prefer Paige's style, he's more of an influence to me.
David, you don't seem to have grasped the concept of a 'dream' lineup. The whole point of it, as far as I can see, is that you can have whoever you want in it, regardless of whether they'd ever actually play together in real life. Hence 'dream'.
